11-015415 – Valve Seat (Check Valve / Discharge Seat)
Product ID: 11-015415 – Valve Seat (Check Valve / Discharge Seat)
Description:
This component is a high-pressure (HP) valve seat, specifically designed as a flat outlet or discharge seat for the check valve assembly in waterjet intensifier pumps. It is a precision-machined, disc-shaped consumable sealing component that serves as the stationary sealing surface. The seat works in conjunction with the corresponding inlet or outlet poppet to create a leak-tight, one-way seal, controlling the flow of pressurized water from the intensifier cylinder to the outlet manifold.
Applications:
Used as the stationary sealing surface in high-pressure check valve assemblies of waterjet intensifier pumps.
Suitable for ultra-high pressure waterjet systems typically operating at 60,000 PSI (approximately 4,137 bar).
Compatible with sealing head repair kits and check valve assemblies.
Features:
Consumable Component: The valve seat is a high-wear consumable part designed to protect the more expensive check valve body from damage.
Precision-Ground Sealing Surface: Machined to exact specifications for leak-tight shut-off when mated with the corresponding poppet.
High-Strength Material: Manufactured from wear-resistant, hardened stainless steel or specialized alloy to withstand repeated impact and high-velocity water flow.
Design Variant: This part uses a flat mating surface design, as opposed to a cone or ball type.
Maintenance:
Replacement Criteria: Replace the valve seat immediately if the sealing surface shows pitting, erosion, cracking, or indentation. A worn or damaged seat will cause pressure drop and prevent the check valve from sealing properly.
Simultaneous Replacement: Always replace the corresponding inlet or outlet poppet simultaneously with the valve seat. Reusing a worn poppet with a new seat (or vice versa) will compromise sealing.
Inspection: During pump overhaul, inspect the seat for wear. Even minor surface damage can cause pressure loss.
Full Depressurization: Always fully depressurize the waterjet system and follow lockout/tagout procedures before replacing the valve seat.
