Details

Product Name: Advantage EP Valve Body (Part No. 190048-1)

Description:
The Advantage EP Valve Body is the precision-machined stainless steel housing for the on/off valve (water switch) assembly in Advantage EP series waterjet cutting systems rated for 94,000 PSI (approximately 6,480 bar) operation . This component serves as the central fluid manifold that directs ultra-high-pressure water from the intensifier pump to the cutting head assembly.

The valve body features precision-machined internal flow passages, high-pressure port connections, and critical sealing surfaces. It is designed to be used with the Advantage EP On/Off Valve Kit (Extended Life) P/N 392001-1-2 , which contains the consumable poppet, seals, O-rings, and lubricant required for valve rebuilding.

This valve body is a direct OEM replacement part compatible with H2O Jet, Flow, and other standard 94k waterjet systems. Under normal operating conditions, the valve body itself is not a high-wear consumable but requires periodic inspection for damage or erosion.

Applications:

  • Serves as the main fluid distribution housing for the on/off valve assembly on 94,000 PSI waterjet cutting systems

  • Directs high-pressure water flow between the pump outlet and the cutting head

  • Used during valve rebuilding as the structural housing for consumable seal and poppet components

  • Compatible with H2O Jet, Flow, and other standard waterjet systems

Features:

  • High-Strength Stainless Steel Construction: Provides excellent corrosion resistance and structural integrity under extreme pressure cycling

  • Precision-Machined Internal Passages: Features cross-drilled flow ports for efficient water direction with minimal pressure loss

  • 94,000 PSI Pressure Rating: Engineered for continuous operation at 6,480 bar

  • Standard High-Pressure Threads: Equipped with industry-standard HP threads for secure connection to glands, fittings, and cutting head components

  • Non-Wear Component: Under normal operating conditions, the valve body itself is not a high-wear consumable; it provides long service life if properly maintained

Maintenance:

When to Inspect or Replace:

  • Persistent External Leakage: High-pressure water weeping from the valve body connections or body casting indicates seal failure or body damage

  • Thread Damage: Stripped, galled, or cross-threaded port threads prevent proper tightening and will cause high-pressure leaks

  • Visible Cracks or Deformation: Any cracking or distortion of the stainless steel body warrants immediate replacement

  • Internal Erosion: During valve rebuilds, inspect the internal bore and sealing surfaces for pitting, scoring, or erosion

  • Performance Issues: If the system fails to maintain pressure or the valve fails to seal properly after a complete rebuild kit installation, the valve body may be worn

Inspection and Replacement Guidelines:

  • Full Depressurization (Critical): Before any maintenance, fully depressurize the waterjet system (high-pressure water, hydraulic system, and air supply) and follow lockout/tagout procedures

  • Clean Area Maintenance: Perform rebuilds in a designated clean area to prevent contamination of new components with abrasive particles—contamination is a leading cause of premature seal failure

  • Regular Leak Inspection: Develop a routine for leak-checking the valve body and high-pressure fittings at the beginning of each shift; repair any leaks as soon as they are discovered to prevent additional damage

  • Temperature Monitoring: If the valve body area feels warmer than normal during operation, internal leakage may be occurring

  • Thread Lubrication: Apply high-pressure anti-seize lubricant to connection threads during reassembly to prevent galling and ensure accurate torque application

  • Torque Compliance: Tighten all port connections to the specific torque values listed in the equipment service manual

  • Replacement Criteria: Replace the valve body immediately if cracks, severe internal erosion, thread damage, or visible deformation is detected. Do not attempt to repair a cracked or severely eroded valve body

  • Cross-Reference Part Numbers: This valve body is used in conjunction with the Advantage EP On/Off Valve Kit (Extended Life) P/N 392001-1-2 when servicing the internal components
