Robotic Waterjet System Delivers Perfect Results for Southeast Asian Automotive Interior Customer

A Southeast Asian automotive parts supplier has expressed strong satisfaction with a robotic waterjet cutting system supplied by Win Win, marking another successful project completion for the company in the region.

The customer, a manufacturer of vehicle interior components, required a solution for precision trimming of automotive carpet, foam padding, and molded dashboard substrates. After evaluating multiple options, they selected Win Win's robotic waterjet cutting system, which integrates a high-pressure booster pump (up to 90,000 PSI) with a six-axis robot arm.

Upon arrival at the customer's facility, Win Win's technical team began on-site installation. The scope included positioning the robot base, connecting the ultra-high pressure pump and water filtration unit, routing high-pressure tubing, and integrating safety interlocks with the customer's existing production line.

Following installation, Win Win engineers performed full system commissioning, verifying pressure stability, robot path accuracy, and cycle times. They then conducted test cuts using the customer's actual automotive interior materials – including multi-layer carpet, polyurethane foam, and thermoplastic olefin (TPO) skins. Several cutting parameters were adjusted on site, including traverse speed, standoff distance, and abrasive flow rate, to achieve fray-free edges and tight dimensional tolerances.

The customer's production manager commented: "The Win Win team was professional and responsive. The test cuts exceeded our quality requirements, with clean edges and no material distortion. The entire process – from installation to final validation – was smoother than we expected."

With the system now running two shifts daily, the customer has already ordered a second robotic waterjet cell. Win Win continues to provide remote support and spare parts from its regional warehouse. The project stands as a benchmark for future automotive interior installations across Southeast Asia.
